CLEANING
Gently brush the pad occasionally with a soft brush to prevent buildup of dirt and hair. This helps keep sweat and debris from settling into the pad.
WASHING
Only wash when you notice the pad becoming stiff in key pressure areas.
Avoid using soap whenever possible, as residue may remain and cause irritation to the horse.
Rinse with clean water, using just enough to remove sweat and dirt. Always start in the center and work outward toward the edges (this helps prevent water from soaking into the pad).
During rinsing and drying: hold or hang the pad by the wither opening or place it over a fence/rail (never lay the pad flat while rinsing or drying).
Allow the pad to dry in a well-ventilated area.
After drying, flex any areas that have not naturally softened.
